The event is being sponsored by Volac and EcoSyl as Event Forage Partners with opening hours from 9:00 to 16:00.

Held on a working dairy unit ScotGrass presents an opportunity to see the latest machinery in action on field scale plots and a live working clamp zone with commentated demonstrations. The working event is a popular showcase for major equipment manufacturers with all working demonstration plots sold out.

Throughout the day visitors will also have access to Industry experts in the static exhibitor village, who will be on hand to answer questions on technical subjects affecting the livestock industry, together with numerous product and service suppliers.

Additionally, located around the site attendees will be able to complete a ‘Knowledge Trail’. The trail includes four different stations with the first being events partner Volac who will be on hand to give sensible help and advice on the best way to conserve your crops. Watson Seeds will be offering impartial advice to make the most of your forage. Up to date trial information and guidance on using the latest grasses, legumes and herbs in maximising sward production. As always choosing the right grass and fodder crop varieties to suit your soils, livestock and farming system is crucial. SRUC will focus on precision methods practised on farm to ensure state-of-the-art calf management from birth, as well as providing information on soil health. And finally, The Voluntary Initiative has developed a grassland specific version of its Integrated Pest Management Plan, which is available free to all grassland farmers.
