In agriculture, hitching and unhitching tractors to their machines remains a time-consuming and dangerous task. The Danish system SIWI Combi-Hitch claims to enable farmers and contractors to work as a one-man system without the need to leave the tractor cab when hitching up machines. The system has now been granted EU type approval for use with tractors and farm machinery,
With the help of hydraulics and a control panel, the trailer or implement vehicle can be changed directly from the tractor cab in less than 30 seconds. The system is designed for machines and tractors from 120hp to 450hp.
The system consists of a tractor module and a trailer or implement module. The TM800 tractor module weighs 250kg. It is mounted in the tractor’s Cat 3 three-point hitch. It enables the automatic connection of up to eight hydraulic clutches, two six-pin electrical connectors, ISOBUS and various control boxes, as well as air and hydraulic brakes. The matching trolley module VM800 is mounted on the K80 coupling and weighs 150kg. In the VM800P version, which weighs 320kg, a PTO connection is also possible.
