New Audi Q9 redefines luxury, space and flagship SUV comfort

Audi Ireland has unveiled the all-new Audi Q9, the largest and most luxurious SUV ever to join the Audi model range. As the new flagship of the Audi portfolio, the Q9 combines spaciousness, precise dynamics and technological innovation to deliver a premium driving experience for customers seeking uncompromising comfort, refinement and capability.

Measuring over 5.3 metres in length, the new Audi Q9 has been designed to offer exceptional space for passengers and luggage while maintaining the dynamic driving characteristics expected of every Audi. With its bold Singleframe grille, muscular proportions and sophisticated exterior design, the Q9 establishes a confident presence on the road while introducing the latest evolution of Audi’s premium SUV design language.

Building on Audi’s reputation for innovation, the all-new Q9 raises the benchmark in the luxury SUV segment with a spacious and highly flexible interior, advanced digital technologies and the confidence of quattro permanent all-wheel drive as standard. Designed to deliver a first-class in-car experience, the Q9 transforms every journey into a premium living space, combining luxury, technology and everyday practicality.

The new Audi Q9 is available with seven seats as standard or an optional six-seat configuration featuring electrically adjustable individual rear seats, creating a true business-class experience for second-row passengers. Premium materials throughout the cabin, automatic doors, extensive personalisation options and Audi’s largest-ever panoramic glass roof create an exceptionally refined environment, while generous space across all three rows ensures outstanding comfort for both everyday driving and longer journeys. All three seats in the second row feature ISOFIX mounting points, making the Q9 particularly practical for family life.

The flagship SUV is powered by a 3.0-litre V6 TDI engine producing 220 kW, complemented by Audi’s latest MHEV plus technology. An integrated powertrain generator can provide up to 18 kW of additional electric assistance when required, while an electric-powered compressor delivers immediate throttle response, powerful starts and highly efficient driving. Power is delivered through an eight-speed tiptronic transmission with quattro permanent all-wheel drive as standard. At launch, the Q9 TDI quattro 220 kW S line will be offered in Ireland, with e-hybrid models to follow at a later date.

The Audi Q9 also introduces a host of innovative technologies, including Audi’s third-generation curved digital OLED rear lights – a world first in a production vehicle – alongside optional Digital Matrix LED headlights. Together, these systems provide enhanced visibility, distinctive lighting signatures and additional safety features, including communication lighting and advanced turn signal projection technology, further reinforcing Audi’s leadership in lighting innovation.

Inside, occupants benefit from Audi’s latest digital user experience, centred around the MMI panoramic display incorporating the Audi virtual cockpit and a curved OLED touchscreen. A passenger display is also available, while the Audi assistant with integrated ChatGPT functionality enables natural interaction with vehicle systems, navigation and infotainment features. Customers can also access a growing range of applications through the Audi Application Store. Premium craftsmanship is complemented by an available Bang & Olufsen 4D Premium Sound System, ambient lighting and an extensive range of comfort features including heated, ventilated and massage seats.

Practicality has been a key focus throughout the development of the new Q9. Flexible six- and seven-seat layouts, generous luggage capacity and thoughtfully designed storage solutions ensure the flagship SUV is equally suited to family life, business travel and long-distance touring. Adaptive air suspension is fitted as standard to deliver exceptional ride comfort, while all-wheel steering enhances maneuverability in urban environments and stability at motorway speeds.

A comprehensive suite of advanced driver assistance systems further enhances comfort and safety. At the heart of this is Audi’s latest Adaptive Driving Assistant Plus, complemented by 360-degree cameras, Park Assist, Trailer Assist, Exit Warning, Emergency Assist and a range of intelligent safety technologies designed to support drivers in everyday driving situations.

The new Audi Q9 is expected to arrive in Ireland towards the end of 2026. Pricing of the Q9 TDI quattro 220 kW will start from €172,250.
