Cedar Motors, the Irish importers of the Renault, Dacia and Nissan brands in Ireland has announced that it will also import and distribute the iconic Alpine brand in Ireland.
Initially there will be two models: the Alpine A110 2-seater sports car and the all-electric A290, European Car of the Year 2025, offering Irish drivers a unique blend of heritage, performance, and cutting-edge innovation.
Bringing Alpine to Ireland signals a bold new chapter for Cedar Motors Distribution. “This expansion reflects Cedar Motors’ commitment to broadening the Irish automotive landscape with brands that offer not only quality and reliability, but also character, excitement, and innovation” – Seamus Morgan, Managing Director, Cedar Motors.
Originally founded in 1955 by Jean Rédélé, Alpine’s heritage is deeply rooted in motorsport, particularly in rallying and Formula 1, which has shaped its identity as a performance driven brand.
Reborn and revived under the Renault Group in 2018, Alpine has continued to focus on innovation and driver engagement, integrating advanced technologies from motorsports into its road cars. This racing pedigree still influences its designs today as the brand aims to combine heritage, performance and cutting-edge EV technology in its future models.
Claimed to be designed for drivers who value innovation, style, and sustainability, the A290 delivers a dynamic driving experience with a distinctive Alpine edge. With pricing starting from €36,690 (including SEAI grant) it claims to offer an accessible entry point into the world of premium performance and luxury brand ownership.
From the 1st of July, the Alpine range will be on display in the Alpine Store at Dundrum Town Centre, providing customers and enthusiasts the opportunity to experience the cars up close in an exciting, contemporary setting.
Test drives and vehicle sales will be available through Windsor Motormall in North Dublin, Alpine’s official retail and service partner in Ireland, ensuring a premium experience from first impression to ownership.
This year also marks the 70th anniversary of the Alpine brand and looking ahead the brand plans a fully electric future with its 100% electric “Dream Garage” concept which will see the brand have 7 fully electric vehicles by 2030. Alpine’s Dream Garage includes the A290, the A390 electric Sport Fastback with 470 bhp, coming to Ireland in 2026.
These models will carry forward Alpine’s DNA while embracing the demands of modern mobility offering zero-emissions driving without compromising on emotion, design, or dynamic performance.
Alpine claims to be a brand for those who appreciate engineering excellence, striking design, and the thrill of the drive – all wrapped in a vision for a cleaner, more exciting automotive future.
