Camacuma offers Frenchy farmers new rental fleet of 130 Bobcat Telehandlers

In France, Bobcat and Camacuma have reached an agreement for the purchase of 130 TL38.70HF telescopic handlers. This is the largest ever single telehandler deal in Doosan Bobcat EMEA’s history.

A Cuma is a cooperative of French farmers, the purpose of which is to make agricultural equipment and workers available to their farm members. There are 11,740 Cuma in France with 202,000 members.

Under the authority of the local federations of the Cuma network and the fncuma, Camacuma is the internal national Cuma Agricultural Equipment Purchasing Centre, formed to carry out group purchasing in France and offer long-term rental packages to reduce machinery costs on farms in France.

The first delivery of 10 machines as part of the Bobcat-Camacuma deal was made in February 2021 and is already available for hire to Cuma members. The remaining telehandlers will be delivered gradually in a number of batches by the end of June 2021.

Bobcat telehandler features made the difference for this new service

Versatility, efficiency and time saving performance have always been the great strengths of Bobcat telehandlers. To win the Camacuma tender, the Bobcat team was able to capitalize on these strong points, which are perfectly suited to the long-term rental project for the Cuma network. In addition, the Bobcat dealer network throughout France is a considerable asset for everybody involved. Another important aspect of the deal is that all the Bobcat telehandlers have been developed and are made in the Bobcat Pontchâteau production facility in France.

Roy Haaker, Vice President Sales & Marketing Bobcat EMEA, explained: “We have ticked all the boxes to meet Camacuma’s expectations. The proven and recognized quality of our telehandlers is our biggest asset. Our strong dealer network in France allows us to provide a local service and ensure continuity of service when needed. Finally, because our machines are ‘Made in France’, supported by a French team, we had all the arguments to win the deal.”

Yves-Mary Houdmon, Camacuma President, confirmed: “We chose Bobcat telehandlers for their performance, comfort and reliability. These machines meet strict Camacuma requirements to provide solid and robust machines for long-term rental to Cuma members. We provide the equipment and guarantee its operation. The warranty and aftersales service for the machines will be provided by the local Bobcat dealers. The real peace-of-mind for us is the commitment from Bobcat to respond within 48 hours. This is a new service for Cumas and we are delighted to inaugurate it with Bobcat.”

The Bobcat TL38.70HF telescopic loaders are available for hire with a pallet fork and grapple bucket but are also ready to be used with multiple other attachments.

The versatility of the TL38.70HF at the service of French farms

The TL38.70HF is designed for heavy-duty work thanks to its power, productivity and robustness. Combining this with the highest possible Bobcat Agri three-star configuration provides air-conditioning, high-flow hydraulics, LED lights and many more features for work everywhere on farms.

In contrast to its compact dimensions with a width of only 2360 mm and a height of 2477 mm, the new generation Bobcat D34 130 HP engine on the TL38.70HF ensures it is very powerful, with an impressive lifting height of up to 7 m and a load capacity of up to 3.8 tonne. Bobcat’s HF technology offers market-leading performance for the most intensive jobs, thanks to the boom’s outstanding cycle times. The TL38.70HF also features a hydrostatic transmission and a hydraulic flow of 190 l/min. The patented asymmetrical cab ensures optimum all-round visibility for safe and comfortable working.
