Toyota Ireland unveiled its new 2026 model range, representing the future of Toyota design, performance, and innovation. As Ireland’s best-selling car brand for the fifth year in a row, Toyota is gearing up for 2026, by launching four brand-new models and unveiling 261 offers across its latest and existing electrified range.
Toyota bZ upgrades
The new Toyota bZ is claimed to be a major step change in both aesthetics and performance.
The mid-size SUV will now be offered with a choice of a 57.7 kWh or 73.1 kWh battery (gross capacity), so that customers can select a version that best suits their driving requirements and their budget.
The 57.7 kWh battery will be exclusive to the front-wheel drive bZ4X. The 73.1 kWh unit will be available in both front and all-wheel drive versions. Maximum range according to WLTP drive cycle is expected to be 567km, depending on grade and powertrain.
The design has been updated both inside and out. The front of the car presents a sleeker, more elegant look with improved aerodynamics. The interior has been completely updated and comes with a new centre console for easy use of digital devices and a new instrument panel design, with a 14-inch multimedia screen fitted as standard.
Thanks to updates in suspension setting and bodywork, the new bZ4X will also benefit from lower noise and vibration levels and improved comfort and driving dynamics.
Software updates
The new bZ4X is equipped with a battery pre-conditioning function as standard. By pre-conditioning the battery, an optimal temperature for charging can be ensured, allowing for higher charging power. This function can be activated manually or automatically by navigating to a fast-charging station.
A BEV navigation function is provided which will automatically select a route with recommended, convenient charging stations, based on the car’s battery state of charge and remaining driving range. This function has already been made available for current bZ4X models, delivered over-the-air via their data communication module (DCM).

Toyota C-HR+
the Toyota C-HR+ is unequivocally an individual model in its own right. It is built on Toyota’s dedicated e-TNGA battery electric vehicle philosophy and has a unique body and interior. It presents a clean, vital appearance that is fundamentally simple, yet has a strong emotional quality to appeal to both the heart and mind.
In the front three-quarter view, the clean and modern styling clearly identifies it as a contemporary Toyota BEV, while the wide stance conveys the kind of dynamic drive associated with the Toyota C-HR. The front bumper, grille and headlight designs are all exclusive the model, while the sleek, coupe-crossover silhouette is both distinctive and aero-efficient. Notably the coupe roofline is achieved without compromising headroom for rear seat passengers. The new battery-electric SUV with a range of up to 609km.

New RAV4 Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid
Toyota’s new sixth-generation RAV4 builds on the legacy of its trailblazing predecessors by introducing advanced technologies that claim to redefine performance and efficiency whilst pioneering new standards for safety and the digital user experience. It will be available as a plug-in hybrid or a full hybrid.
Versatility and reliability have earned the RAV4 enduring popularity for generations of customers across Europe, where more than 2.5 million have been sold since its 1994 introduction, and worldwide, over 15 million have been sold to date.
The new RAV4 has a robust new exterior style. The strong front design expresses robust off-road credentials and a true RAV4 identity, whilst retaining similar dimensions to its predecessor.
Inside, a redesigned cabin gives all passengers a sense of space and refined, premium comfort. The latest RAV4 marks the debut of the latest multimedia system, which is faster and more compact as part of the all-new digital ecosystem powered by Arene, which claims to create a seamless digital in-car experience.
A higher quality of information can be displayed via clear visuals, Google Points of Interest, and real-time navigation details such as speed cameras and Low Emission Zones (LEZ) alerts to assist the driver in respecting environmental regulations. The integration of the navigation map combined with the three-dimensional lane assistance in the driver’s 12.3” combimeter reduces potential distractions and makes directions easier to follow.
A new 12.9″ home screen concept, designed with European customers in mind, gives drivers all relevant information in one view. Its intuitive, user-friendly design – with customisable shortcuts, a quick settings menu and data privacy features – makes personalising and navigating the in-car digital environment easier than ever. The digital cockpit experience is enhanced by a responsive and precise voice assistant that can handle navigation, media, in-car temperature, and vehicle control. It will receive regular over-the-air wireless software updates to ensure continuous feature improvements.
