The Volkswagen Multivan was originally introduced four decades ago. Over five generations, the extremely versatile all-rounder for family, leisure and business became a bestseller. The current model is the most successful Multivan of all time.
With nearly 39,000 vehicles sold in 2025 (an increase of 31 per cent on 2024), last year was a record year for Multivan. Now, an evolved version of the VW Bus is in the works, with an enhanced design, new colours and new wheels. Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is providing a first look at the design of the new Multivan.
Iconic front end: the new Multivan front end consistently follows the DNA of its iconic predecessors – and yet its design has been reinterpreted with a more futuristic approach. The division of the bumper and radiator grille area into two segments is more pronounced than before, emphasising the width of the new Multivan. Visually distinctive and redesigned LED headlights feature a brand new light signature.
New colours and rims: The colour palette has been remixed for the exterior giving customers more choice. For the first time, a matt paint finish will now be available as well as a selection of two-tone variants. Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has also revised six of the 17- and 18-inch alloy wheels. The 19-inch “Halmstad” alloy wheel, which is particularly popular with Bulli fans, has also been modified.
