New Micra boosts Nissan electric car options

The new Nissan Micra hits Irish roads this week with a new design that has more than a hint of similarity to the Renault 5, which was selected at the Irish Car of the Year for 2026.

This new Micra which builds on the named heritage of one Nissan’s most popular cars ever, will only be available as a battery electric car across three specification levels. Nissan expects to sell 500 new Micras for the full year of 2027 following its later than anticipated introduction this month.

Entry prices start at €25,995 for the 40kW battery version with a quoted 317km range, it cost you €5,000 more to move to a larger 52kW battery that claims to deliver a 430km range and with the Advance specification.
