Spacious new Peugeot E-408 arrives in Ireland

Peugeot Ireland has announced the arrival of the new Peugeot 408, available for the first time as a fully electric fastback. With bold design, advanced technology and a range of up to 453 km (WLTP), the new Peugeot E-408 completes the brand’s electrified line-up and is now on sale across the country.

The new Peugeot 408 brings a distinctive fastback silhouette to the C-segment, combining elevated driving position, sleek coupe-like lines and generous cabin space. Its feline stance is enhanced by sharp surfacing, signature Peugeot “fang” LED lights at the front and triple-claw LEDs at the rear. Five colours are available: Okenite White, Obsession Blue, Selenium Grey, Elixir Red and Perla Nera Black.

Built on the multi-energy EMP2 platform, the E-408 positions its 58 kWh battery underfloor, preserving interior space and lowering the centre of gravity for dynamic handling. Rear passengers benefit from class-leading legroom (183 mm), while boot capacity is a generous 471 litres, expanding to 1,545 litres with seats folded.

100% Electric Power

The E-408 features a 210 hp electric motor with 345 Nm of torque, paired with a high-efficiency battery offering up to 453 km WLTP range and heat pump as standard. Charging is simple and fast, with:

11 kW AC onboard charger as standard
Up to 120 kW DC fast charging (20%–80% in just over 30 minutes, or 100 km in 10 minutes)

A trip planner with charging station integration is included as standard in the infotainment system, regenerative braking is also a standard feature which can be adjusted via paddles behind the steering wheel.

Inside, drivers enjoy the latest Peugeot i-Cockpit®, featuring a compact steering wheel, 10-inch digital instrument panel and 10-inch central touchscreen with

Peugeot i-Connect® Advanced, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, voice recognition (“OK Peugeot”), and over-the-air updates.

Practical features include wireless phone charging, four USB-C ports, ambient lighting, AGR-certified ergonomic front seats, and a premium FOCAL® Hi-Fi system (optional on GT versions).

The My Peugeot ® smartphone app enables remote pre-conditioning, charge scheduling and vehicle status monitoring.
