Russian agricultural machinery production continues to decline, according to a new report from German agricultural machinery industry magazine Eilbote, in a quotation from the Moscow Times. It quotes the Russian statistics service Rosstat, saying that a total of 3,626 tractors were built in the first half of 2025, approximately nine percent fewer than in the same period last year. Production fell significantly, particularly in June, with unit sales almost 50 percent lower than the previous year. Seed drill production also fell by 14 percent.
According to the Moscow Times, manufacturers like Rostselmash are reporting a 40 percent drop in sales. The government currently sees no need for additional action and points to existing support instruments. Meanwhile, the State Duma is discussing further aid.
